Banner of Thugs
Banner Of Thugs started out in 1999. They played rough oi! Music with influences of The 4Skins and Condemned 84. They released a demo called “This is where it starts…” After that Maurice (guitar player for Hardsell) offered to release a full length album on his label Bouncing Sole Records. The band wrote a bunch of new songs in which some more diverse influences started to appear. The “First feat of arms”cd was released in 2002 and received a lot of positive reviews. The band played a lot of shows with bands like Discipline, Backfire!, Blood For Blood and The Badlands. The cd was also released on coloured vinyl by Blind Beggar Records. The band also appeared on a compilation cd by Rebellion Records with their new song “Steadfast”. Most people thought it was the best song the band had written so far. In the meanwhile they were busy writing new songs for their next cd. In 2004 they hit the studio again and recorded a kick-ass new album called “What we hold dear”, which will appeal to a lot of people. You can hear oi!, punk, old school hardcore and even some traditional metal and rock influences. The cd will be out soon on Bouncing Sole Records, make sure to check it out!
